The system is generally slow. I thought the new app is easier to check all recordings as both audio and video ones are listed on one screen. It is buggy though - not an improvement from the old app. One, it will sometimes be disconnected from the camera, which usually takes getting out of it before attempting to get in again. Two, sometimes, the camera is not accessible at all. This can be a major frustration for the ones that are many miles away and was hoping this system would provide a way to monitor, say, their senior parents.
Three, I just realized the serious failure of this system in picking up motion. On two occasions last night, the motion-activated lights that I separately set up went on.
However, the system shows no motion in its list of recordings at all. I consider this a major failure. This can be a major problem for those that use this system for security reasons. By the way, since I still have the old app on my phone, I went and checked it. It failed to pick up the-above-mentioned motions as well. Samsung has to step up on their game to fix these problems. I was on a landline. Calling tech support is just about impossible.
This is very, very, very poor service. When it was working, its use was marginally acceptable with many glitches. I have 7 cameras, both outdoor and indoor, in houses in two different countries and this system works generally well. Ability to download video recently added works well, quality is excellent. My major complaints are 1. The streaming is very slow specifically on T-mobile cellular networks.
